What is Saju?

Saju (사주, “four pillars”) is Korea’s traditional system of reading a person’s character and life rhythm from the moment they were born. It is the Korean branch of the same tradition known in China as BaZi (八字) or the Four Pillars of Destiny: your birth year, month, day and hour are each turned into a pair of symbols — a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch — giving four pillars and eight characters in total.

FateHive calculates your chart with an astronomical solar-term calendar, then explains it in plain English: your Day Master (the core of your personality), the balance of the Five Elements, and how the year ahead interacts with your chart. We also offer daily horoscopes by Chinese zodiac and star sign, tarot, I Ching, omikuji and a dream dictionary — all free, and all written to be read without any background knowledge.
